Local cheese-maker wins Outstanding Achievement Award

We weren't the only people winning at the EDP Food Awards on 24th September.  Much to our delight, Catherine Temple walked off with the Outstanding Achievement Award which 'recognises the an individual or business which has provided a sustained and high level of service to the Norfolk food industry'.

The judges were also looking for 'a person recognised as a leading exponent in their field but also someone who has brought fresh thinking to their profession, setting standards that others aim to emulate.  The winner will have shown the hunger to continually develop or fine-tune their craft.  They will have been a mentor to others and have inspired them with confidence to develop their own respective skills. This person may well be an unsung hero, but those who have come into contact with them will have the sense that they have dealt with someone special'.

Well, we certainly feel that she's very special - and her cheeses too.  We've been stocking the Binham Blue since day one and it's one of our most popular.  Come and buy some if you haven't already tried it yourself!
